Originally settled in the 1720's by Dutch planters, today the site of
Estate Lindholm is an intimate bed and breakfast inn set amongst Danish
ruins.
Estate Lindholm's location on the hillside overlooking
Cruz Bay harbor causes it to be the perfect vantage point from which
to observe and enjoy all the beauty and activities that St. John has
to offer. Each room enjoys views of St. Thomas, St. Croix, and the many
smaller cays, as well as the picturesque harbor of Cruz Bay.
The simple elegance of the restored Danish ruins
help create the timeless charm and ambiance of the Estate. Located within
the National Park on St. John's Northshore, we are just a ten minute
drive from world famous Trunk Bay, as well as several other beautiful
beaches.
Our 14 guest rooms offer private covered balconies,
air-conditioning, cable television, a telephone, a spacious bathroom,
wet bar, refrigerator, coffee maker and a microwave oven.
While guests may simply enjoy reading or sunbathing
on their balcony, an air conditioned fitness room and fresh water pool
with harbor views offer on-site activities.
In addition, a wide range of water sports and activities
can be found such as scuba diving, snorkeling, sportfishing, parasailing,
daysails, sea kayaking, windsurfing, and boat rentals. We would be pleased
to assist you with information and/or the arrangements for any of these
activities.
If you are interested in exploring the
island, the white sand and tranquil turquoise waters of secluded Honeymoon
and Salomon beaches are a short walk from the Estate along National
Park trails.
The fine shops, art galleries, jewelers, restaurants,
and cafes of charming Cruz Bay are within easy walking distance of the
Estate.
If you are interested in visiting other islands for
the day, St. Thomas and its capital city of Charlotte Amalie is renowned
for its duty free shopping. The British Virgin Islands of Tortola, Jost
Van Dyke and Virgin Gorda are also just an enjoyable and scenic ferry
ride away.
Estate Lindholm has been owned as a residence by the Morrisette family since the 1950's. It is now managed as an inn by Brion and Lauren Morrisette, who reside on the property with their children.
